I feel like this has gotten worse with Windows 11. Now even with the headset microphone disabled in the new Windows Settings screens (I use a separate USB mic)

I feel like this has gotten worse with Windows 11. Now even with the headset microphone disabled in the new Windows Settings screens (I use a separate USB mic) some apps (mostly games) still insist on activating the "headset" profile and switching things into 1800s telephone mode.
