The houses built to survive floods
- malux85 3y agoI often wondered about long term constructions, what structure would last for thousands of years? What structure would last against tsunamis, hurricanes, floods, lightning? Isn’t the answer a pyramid? Now the problem is it’s made of enormous heavy stones, but practicality aside, isn’t a stone pyramid a perfect structure for surviving all natural disasters?
- hulitu 3y agoNo. The pyramids of Egypt are relative new (5000 years). And the climate has helped preserve them. The Mayan pyramids were not so lucky, (or the cambodgian temples)
