It both bemuses and worries me that someone so arrogantly destructive is the world’s wealthiest human (on record, anyway).
In a world where financial might trumps societal needs it is clear that, as a civilisation, we are in a downward spiral and it probably won’t stop anytime soon.
His wealth is comical and could be used to generate so much positivity but, instead, it appears every waking moment of his is dedicated to exuding negativity and division.
Such a sad, sad state of affairs.
- Zigurd 3y agoFor one thing, rich lists are self-reported. Too get more granular, SpaceX was worth $150B on the basis of a Saudi fund buying 0.02% of the cap table. The #2 rich guy, who sells overpriced handbags, is on a sounder footing.
- mikecoles 3y agoMusk and his businesses are a positive force in the world. Popularizing electric vehicles, making space launches more efficient, and providing an open platform are great benefits.
- gregjor 3y agoNot really. I guess if you’re already drunk on the Kool-Aid it seems that way. He’s a grifter who capitalized on government largesse and the public forgetting his thousands of broken promises and lies.
