Really, I think it’s about competition and monopolies. If enough vendors get behind the ISA, we could see a massive ecosystem flourish, and cheap RISCV chips that are widely available. A bonus would be if enough people are working on the ecosystem, and contributing back, we could get the benefit of all the contributors.
