Ask HN: Are you comfortable with a brain interface?
- thesuperbigfrog 3y agoIs it invasive? (Will I have electrodes implanted in my skull?) Is it intuitive? Can I just think and things happen or do I need to deeply concentrate? Are there harmful side effects? (Using it causes headaches or might induce seizures?) Can I trust the brain interface creator? (Are they lying about possible risks? Can they "read" my thoughts without my permission?)
- greenbit 3y ago.. Can they provide some feature that you come to depend on, and brick it when it suits them?
- mikewarot 3y agoIt seemed that NeuroLink would be getting to the point where they could reliably do it. But since seeing the facts underlying Tesla's "self driving", and the fast/loose nature of that... I no longer have any confidence in their work. Elon pushes people to get results, but he pushes too hard, in general, to be sustainable in the long run.
