Is it just Saudis? If dependency on oil ends or reduces greatly then what happens to petro dollar? Isn’t it in US’ interest as well? I am genuinely curious. I don’t have in-depth knowledge of this but I was wondering - wouldn’t weakening of petro dollars would further weaken Bretton Woods system? Given that quite some economies are preferring to skip the dollar of late.
