TBH, I don't think it's uniformly suppressed on HN. Any discussion of the topic tends to remain off the front page, regardless of its viewpoint or perspective (with rare exceptions, such as recently over the weekend). It seems fair to me, and it is probably healthier for all of us the less we are inundated with news and discussion about it. Nobody will change anybody's perspective about it, and none of us can do anything positive to help the situation. It is true though that a lot of people who were previously decrying things like "cancel culture" are pursuing it vigorously with regard to people drawing attention to Palestinian suffering, and/or at least keeping quiet when they see it happen.
