I think that instead of this trains bullshit we should instead make the lag in the air travel shorter and invest more into CO2 neutral aviation fuel and batteries.

- lolc 3y agoSome trains are slow. For night trains, that's a feature.
- genman 3y agoSleeping and hygiene in the train in comparison to your home or a hotel.
- dontlaugh 3y agoThe energy required for trains will always be far lower than for planes. There’s no practical way to drastically drop emissions while still flying so much. And overnight trains from and to a city are overall much more comfortable than travelling for 2h to an airport to be there 2h early, often in the middle of the night, going through security, etc.
