True, but there’s a difference in seeing a random anonymous account parroting things and someone with a following pushing it. Honestly many people here, myself too probably at points, tend to just repeat what they’ve heard elsewhere as fact. You can see it if you try and notice phrasing patterns repeating. My real lesson is less that the internet is a shit show (it is though), and more that people like to take a very strong opinion as fact, over a more nuanced opinion that requires understanding of a topic.
