Hustle is great if you are going to make 8 figures if the startup you work at ipos. Your roi doesn't really change at big companies. might even be negative in the cases where they freeze raises (msft and others).
- admissionsguy 3y agoIt's not inherently about salary but about perceiving the work as something important you really, really want to accomplish. Money is only one of the possible motivators.
- Racing0461 3y agoI agree, its not really about salaries. Thats why people arent really motivated by the small promo structure or being rated TT/Exceeds Expectations at big companies. It's more about not being a wagie/generational wealth when the payoff happen that causes the change in behavior.
