The first cause for memory bloat
- vkaku 3y agoMost programs do not actually require to address 64 bits of virtual memory. On a pi cluster, I noticed that the minimum memory usage on a Raspberry Pi OS installation shows used memory is almost linearly proportional to integer size. Most people would have already realized this on quantized machine learning models, but this was on a far more fundamental level, felt like sharing.
