I find this kind of thing an abomination in real shipping code. In the real world this kind of thing breaks debuggers with the symbol size explosion and template meta programming is hard to reason about for most regular C++ programmers. It adds a real burden to compile times. It adds a real burden to debugging. It adds a real burden to reasoning over code you didn't write. Overall I see it as a big negative.
