- rokkitmensch 3y agoImagine. "Your data is backed up idempotently and permanently to tape, but you are too unimportant for us to ever recover your data loss from tape." Charitably, the whole system is on tape and piecemeal restoration is impossible. This is why professionals practice their restoration protocols regularly. Not to imply that it's reasonable to treat customers of commodity SaaS as professionals.
