- BobbyTables2 3y agoIn retrospect, try imagine what the WWW could have been if it were explicitly designed to model GUI applications and not textual documents… In all practicality, seems like the world is no longer interested in publishing “text” but rather “GUI experiences.” The example here is convincing… But just wait until the DOM elements are dynamically generated and now one has to both dynamically assign ids and re-map those textual ids back to some internal JavaScript objects. Probably already done today, just feels like we keep insisting that a square peg fit into a round hole…
