Denmark Bans Burning the Koran
- elmerfud 3y agoOf all the places in the world Europe should be painfully familiar with the fact that appeasement that does not work. The fact that their own freedom matters less than what some fanatics think is insane. This is a government that has no intention of protecting its people or espousing the ideas of freedom of thought to the rest of the world.
- jjgreen 3y agoDoes not mention in the article whether this is specific to the Koran, but in a linked article "The government will propose legislation that prohibits the inappropriate handling of objects with essential religious significance for a religious community", Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard told a press conference. "The proposal will thus make it punishable to, for example, in public burn a Koran, Bible or Torah," he said.
