- serf 3y agowelding galvanized materials is nasty. I know the blog mentioned safety apparatus, i'm here to advocate against it entirely -- It's that bad. Welding galvanized materials for hobbyists is 99% an economic choice outside of repair work; just spring for the more expensive route and buy material that won't off-gas and avoid it all together unless a repair absolutely calls for it.
