Eh. It's more complex than that. Citizenship represents a kind of mutual obligation and tethering, for better and worse. While a metaphor of monogamy vs polygamy is probably too far, I'm struggling to come up with some other analogy. I'm a dual citizen for the record, and believe in having it, but I do believe it is something to be taken seriously.
