It turns out that punching up and punching down really are opposites: at first glance they may look categorically similar, but the direction makes a huge difference.
- johnnyanmac 3y agoI don't think it's even that. Despite the rhetoric, corporations aren't people. They are made of people you should (mostly) be polite to, but the entity currently known by X is not a person. It's a matter of respect. No one is expected to respect a corporation.
- lynx23 3y agoSo I guess you would also argue that stealing from a large corporation isn't really a crime, because there is nobody really hurt?
