I see two solutions, there may be more: 1) Sony refunds the price. This is the least that should happen. 2) Else, the purchase should be honored by Discovery and it should provide an alternate means for users to access this content by transferring the purchase OR provide download for use without restriction. In parallel, there should be a class action filed.
