Nvidia and AMD plan to launch Arm PC chips as soon as 2025
- happymellon 3y agoSo does this mean that Microsoft is going to support Tegra as a Windows platform, or is Nvidia going to create a new ARM chip specially for Windows?
- KeplerBoy 3y agoAs stated in the article, Windows already ran on Tegra chips. That what Microsoft put into the surface RT.
- happymellon 3y agoI did read the article, and what you say doesn't answer my question. The tone of the article implies that Nvidia is looking at a new line of chips. > Nvidia ... plan to launch Arm PC chips Tegra has already been launched.
- KeplerBoy 3y agoWell your question was whether Microsoft is going to support Tegra as a platform and the answer is they already do. But really Nvidia is probably going to bring a specced down version of it's Grace Hopper chip, which is also a Tegra chip (T241). So i guess they won't deviate from that.

- PlutoIsAPlanet 3y agoI hope this kicks ARM SoC OEMs to adopt standard boot platforms for ARM (like UEFI), in order to support Windows, and increases the amount of laptops available using ARM. Right now the answer to "how do I install an OS on an ARM computer" is a joke.
