I think everyone has the capacity to be toxic, but few things elevate my willingness to be toxic than having my well-reasoned contributions insulted or rejected. I've contributed a total of once, ever, on Wikipedia. It was a typo correction that was reverted, then remade under the mod's account so he got credit for it. If that's what I can expect by interacting with Wikipedia, I'll pass. You have to actually reward participation if you want it.
