I really wish Mozilla would stay out of politics, especially identity politics. And I've seen some pro-censorship advocacy from them in the name of Internet "safety."

- 127361 3y agoThey should stay out of politics completely. This incident is a matter for law enforcement to deal with, not Mozilla. Mozilla is a tech firm, it's purpose is to develop a Web browser, period. It should not be involved in social policies. I personally abhor Donald Trump, by the way. But I still think deplatforming and censorship are wrong.
- mavhc 3y agoThe internet enables new ways to attack democracy, need to fix those bugs. Should you publish the manifesto of a terrorist? Should you allow people to create millions of accounts? Who should you amplify with your algorithm?
- poilcn 3y agoI closed my eyes on the ceo story and the politics and continued using it as "the only alternative" to Chrome until I got a pop up on my phone basically suggesting who I should vote for in some American election. I've never even been in that country.
