11-year-old YouTube video that always remains at 301 views
- extraduder_ire 3y agoI remember when this video came out, and think it's super neat they made it a special case to fix at 301 views when the site stopped doing that. There's a somewhat related video on their sister-channel about view counts over 2^31-1 overflowing and going negative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vA0Rl6Ne5C8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vA0Rl6Ne5C8
- dvngnt_ 3y agostruggling to see YouTube in it's current form doing the same. remember when new android versions got new statues on campus? those were the days...
- k4rli 3y agoRecently watched a Google tour video and apparently they still do the statues. Unfortunately there are too frequent releases so I've completely lost track of their namings after Oreo. It also doesn't help that the name isn't really presented to user, from UI I can only see it under system info in settings app.
- RecycledEle 3y agoYouTube manipulates the apparent number if views to the advantage of left-wing political entities.

- thebruce87m 3y agoYouTube turned two of my friends into covid denying conspiracy theorists. They aren’t even in the US. Not sure how falsifying some viewing numbers would help the left.
- scoodah 3y agoThat’s a heavy claim to drop with no proof.
