Isn’t the Martha Stewart insider trading story one of these counter examples?
- andrewinardeer 3y agoMartha Stewart was never convicted for insider trading. This is a common mistake people make. She was found guilty of conspiracy to obstruct, of obstruction of an agency proceeding, and of making false statements.
- fbdab103 3y agoHad she said she made the trade(s) on the basis of a tip, would that have been the better outcome? Was keeping her mouth shut an option?
