What's with the comments giving angry boomer energy? Just because you don't know something, doesn't mean you should be proud of it. Word of the year has been a mix of popular culture and slang for decades. Rizz is a great addition.
- mytailorisrich 3y agoBoomer? Do you realise that boomers are over 60 now, so that there is a massive gap between 'young' and 'boomer'...
- BoiledCabbage 3y agoYes which is why I believe OP is asking why on a fairly young message board, the response is stereotypical of someone over age 60.
- mytailorisrich 3y agoIt is 'fairly' stereotypical to assume 'young' (what's the cut off?). And it is definitely stereotypical and ageist to assume this means 'over 60'. I am in my 40s. Boomers are my parents. I had never heard of that word... Knowledge of these latest slang words fades fast during your late twenties, definitely 30s, IMHO.
- twixfel 3y agoI agree it’s a nice word, but it’s the same energy to laugh at people for being old because they don’t know what it means.
