Thanks for sharing your feelings and I'm glad you can relate. That to me means my original comment made a dent, somewhere, somehow. That's enough. Yes, you're right that I am indeed lucky to have found my calling - luckier than most in fact - and I won't ever take that for granted. For what it's worth, I had been chasing meaning and purpose for years and quite honestly, I only ever came closer when I stopped actively seeking. I hate to be all preachy, but there's something about surrendering the illusion of control every now and that sometimes helps put things into perspective - at least for me. Something like a cognitive "sleep on it" in a way. Then again, words are cheap, actions are rarely easy, so I can understand if such realizations are not universal but all we can do is share our experiences.
