My understanding is that typically it isn't an issue, but the hearer malfunctioned, and it was on his desk, and so he was kind of staring at it all day. I'd take care. Don't stare into the light, for starters.

    Thanks for the article. Looks like he got his eyesight back so it wasn't permanent.
