It is remarkable how many companies have co-founders who get written out of the eventual hero stories and have arguably more interesting stories themselves about their life after making $10-100s of millions and the impact they have. I feel that there's been an overcorrection from the days when Series A stage VCs fired the founder to bring in professional management, where founders stay far past what really makes sense for either party in more cases than not.
