Bitcoin breaks $40k amid golds all-time high
- WheelsAtLarge 3y agoHere we go again. I predict, total guess, that by 1/1/2025 we will be back to at least the all-time high of $69,045. I suspect, due to its fast rise, that someone with a ton of money is accumulating the asset.
- verdverm 3y agoI know the price has risen when the low quality shilling starts to show up on HN, which it has over the last week or two, definite increase in the last week
- alwillis 3y agoBitcoin is up 143% the past year; this isn’t only a week or two thing.
- verdverm 3y agosure, but that's not the long term perspective. This is the first time, in years, that it's been above the price point ~$30k where a bunch of people got swindled and are new hoping to get their money back, maybe with some profits. The big question is if there is real support to keep the price inflated. The correlation with stories on HN is with breaking the $30k ceiling. Anecdotally, I'm only looking to take coins out. I have zero intention of ever putting fiat into cryptos again. Playing the real long game, though I sometimes wonder when the whole thing will turn to dust. I personally have very low confidence there is actual or real demand behind the increase in price

I suppose you’ll be part of a long list of people who think Bitcoin is going away… it’s been 15 years and it should be clear it’s here to stay.
