We don't need a "much-needed letter to car manufacturers". We need laws and regulations which uphold privacy for the human right and dignity everyone deserves. Everything else is political theatre only.
- bwanab 3y agoPolitics proceeds slowly. The first step for a tech aware politician like Sen. Markey is to raise awareness of the issues with his colleagues who otherwise have many other priorities. That's how laws get passed.
- xkekjrktllss 3y agoYou are unbelievably naive if you think politicians are merely limited by their "awareness." Step 1: "Raise awareness" of the issue Step 2: Assure donors there are no more steps That's how laws don't get passed.

- johngladtj 3y agoLaws are regulations are mandating data collection. What we actually need is their absence.
