Apparently no longer taught at all. One of the reasons we homeschooled our kids.

- gregjor 3y agoI don’t know. Not part of the California or Oregon public school curriculum AFAIK. Many parents have complained about this for a couple of decades. All focus on STEM and social engineering projects. The US has a national curriculum in the form of guidelines and standards. I haven’t been in school in decades and skipped it for my own children so I don’t know what gets taught nationwide. Anecdotally civics, geography, and history seem to have fallen out of favor. Just teaching kids to read and do arithmetic and not take drugs is a big challenge apparently.
