Our blog gets questionable guest post requests like that every other day. We're in the business of B2B enterprise geospatial data processing and somebody emails us about writing parenting guides, lifestyle, fitness, electronics. Clearly they don't even check the blog, it's just mass spamming of any website they can find. You can ignore those.
- KaoruAoiShiho 3y agoYeah they're not after the users, at least not primarily, they're interested in google link juice. I just happen to be hard up for money and suggested a $1000 per post.
- CM30 3y agoYep, 'guest blogging' has turned into a spam plague/avalanche, and 99% of the requests aren't even worth taking seriously. My advice is to ask them what the articles would be about, and if they're just the usual 'written in 4 minutes to sell links to garbage' level fluff, decline the request. Because your readers won't be too happy if your site gets filled with useless crap like this, no matter how much it might pay.
