With a transmission like that, can you skip gears, or must you always 7->6->5->4->3 when you're slowing down?

- kenhwang 3y agoI skip gears in my 6 speed too (1-2-4-6 on acceleration, 6-3-2 on deceleration). I'd love a 7th gear for quieter high speed cruising but the number of shifts I do would be the same. Cars like these have more than enough power to not need to go through every ratio, and you're not exactly buying these things to maximize fuel economy.
- dieselgate 3y agoYou can skip any forward gear in a manual trans - RPMs is the only limiting factor.
