I think the only piece of advice I ever received that was a real help was: > Parenting is going to be the most challenging, frustrating, disheartening thing you ever experience. But every once in a while there's going to be little moments that make it all completely worth it. Learn to recognize those and hold on to them. Both the acknowledgement that parenting is a fucking nightmare a lot of the time and you're not just doing it wrong, and a reminder to consciously recognize and remember the precious moments.
