How much does being obese cost the average person in healthcare?
I'd be surprised if it was A LOT less.
- doodlebugging 3y agoThis is probably a good take. I think though that the cost of health care only comes into play when the obese person begins to take action to try to change their situation or to manage their condition. Until that point their health care costs are minimal since they are not focused on staying healthy or becoming healthier. But yes, overcoming the consequences of obesity will be expensive, a lot more than this drug.
- onlyrealcuzzo 3y agoI mean, how often are they getting sick and missing work compared to non-obese people? There's all kinds of opportunity costs to being unhealthy.
