Ask HN: Archive.today Alternatives?
Archive.today seems to be unreliable as of late, and additionally has problems with infinite captcha loops a lot of the time.
Is there any similar alternative that doesn't have these issues? I've been using the internet archive wayback machine, but its not as good at getting around paywalls compared to archive.today.
- greenyoda 3y agoThe CAPTCHA loops only occur if you're using Cloudflare as your DNS provider. It works fine with other providers, such as NextDNS. You can easily change your DNS-over-HTTPS provider in Firefox's or Chrome's configuration settings.
- natdempk 3y agoThanks, this would explain my issues! I changed this for my network but not the DNS-over-HTTPS provider. Appreciate the fix.
- eep_social 3y agoI’ve used 12ft.io a few times and it seems cromulent.
