Is it possible they just wanted you to book direct so they don't pay the Booking.com commission?
- kubectl_h 3y agoMaybe, though the owner seemed legitimately annoyed with Booking.com having the listing still active. Their direct price ended up being 10-15% cheaper in any case.
- ChatGTP 3y agoI've heard from friends o friends who use Booking.com that their payment system broke down earlier this year and booking.com still has not paid them hundreds / thousands they are owed. So might be why they're avoiding taking bookings through the site.
