Science publications need to ensure reproducibility of research before publishing.
There needs to be a journal dedicated to documenting unreproducible science studies and papers.
The inability for scientists to police themselves is the death of Science.
- jampekka 3y agoThis would require/requires a total overhaul of how the current academia works. E.g. PhD would be unattainable with that publication criteria. Tenure and funding criteria would have to be totally overhauled. I'm all for the overhaul of course. But it's not fixable solely by publication criteria. In fact publishers benefit from poor quality. The publisher system makes no sense and is actively detrimtal to science and disseminating information.
