Pretty much every music recommendation service tells me that Turin Brakes are almost identical to Gomez and I, having ears, can tell they are not. I'd love to know how they have come to this conclusions. Is it because there aren't many Gomez lovers in the dataset and the few that are also happen to like Turin Brakes thus skewing the recommendation?
