To understand Media's hate of Elon uou first need to understand their love of Twitter. Twitter has always been loved, and promoted (tweet us @) by media because its both an excellent source of news, allows easy engagement with news, and allows news to spread. Twitter is quite literally the saviour of media, providing a crucial link between print and digital eras. Now Elon is killing Twitter. Hell hath no fury like that of a journalist scorned. As users stop using Twitter (perhaps even stop using X), where does it leave those to whom X is the literal source of their own value chain? Like a jilted lover, Elon is the (really easy) scapegoat. (Who seems intent on driving them away...)
