- enjoylife 3y agoIf the “Lindy effect” holds true for the 911, it might be quite a long time before the 911 and its variants go out of style. The same cannot be said for the cyber truck, and all of the other short lived prototype cars that have very harsh angular lines.
- starcraft2wol 3y agovery harsh angular lines == faddish design?
- pmcjones 3y agoThe 911 will be 60 in 2024.
- partiallypro 3y agoThe 911 has the highest average resale value, relative to the original price, of any car on Earth. It depreciates less than any other vehicle. I don't think you're going to be correct.

- rgmerk 3y agoI don’t think that’s how the end of ICE vehicles will happen. It’ll be death by a thousand cuts. New ICE vehicles will be increasingly rare in showrooms. There will be bans in city centres. Gas stations will start to disappear. Those that remain will be required to sell blends with increasing amounts of non-fossil derived gasoline, which will be considerably more expensive than current prices, and far more expensive to run. Eventually, driving ICE vehicles will be like horse riding today - a niche, expensive, smelly hobby that is conducted well outside city limits.
- toast0 3y agoPeople might grow to like the Cybertruck. A yellow xTerra looks like a normal car now, and I remember them being totally bonkers. But a Cybertruck is always going to look like it wandered out of StuntRaceFX.
- Wytwwww 3y agoWell it's a car that might as well have been designed by an 8 year old who is not at all artistically gifted. To each his own I guess...
