I made an AI Agent using OpenAI Assistants API for sports betting to do research and recommend picks, based on a betting strategy that the user puts in. It has 6 functions it can call and so far seems to be working pretty well... hitting at about 60% on its first 100 bets. Any feedback is appreciated!
- thefringthing 3y ago> about 60% on its first 100 bets This isn't really the appropriate metric. For example, a strategy which is short favourites and long underdogs needs a win rate much lower than 60% to overcome the house edge (and pay for this software).
- asterai 3y agogood point! I have been evaluating it on purely spreads and totals so that's where i'm getting the 60% from. anecdotally i've hit a few same game parlays on nba and nhl with it this week but that feels less sustainable
