- coldtea 3y ago"Parents, 40ish, push their kid to do some publicity stunt" Here's a fixed title.
- timthorn 3y agoWell, it worked if that was the goal - this is one of the leading articles in the Times today: "In Praise of Nerds" https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-times-view-on-apples-emojis-in-praise-of-nerds-8r6kj3lx8 https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/the-times-view-on-apples-...
- xeckr 3y agoCounterpoint: changing it would be nerd erasure!
- SuperNinKenDo 3y agoWhen I was that age I was pretty sensitive about my glasses. Kids will find anything different to pick on you for, and at that age you're much less ecure in yourself. I can understand why a 10 year old would feel this way, and it is kinda weird tbh that the emoji looks the way it does. Feels like the only reason to have it that way is for negative reasons. I mean, that's fine, but for all the censorship and sensitivity that goes into emoji, why this one that seems so wholly negative?
