Lake County State's Attorney's Office adds of new electronic detection canine
- wglb 3y agoUnclear how this works . . .
- bediger4000 3y agoThere's several articles like this online, dating back to 2015. The earlier articles are from Utah TV stations, broadly giving the dogs the power to smell porn on thumb drives. I think these are PR submarines from the dog's trainers, and I don't believe dogs can smell porn on thumb drives, and I'm a little skeptical of smelling electronics, given the prevalence of lost remotes, car key fobs, etc etc. Most houses are saturated with electronic devices. But if true, if the dogs can sniff out, say, printed circuit boards, the trainers must be terribly tempted to have the dogs find lost TV remotes and other misplaced items, WiFi dongles, say.
