I think its worth it. Godot is an excellent game engine / community / project / software. And you can do whatever you want[0] with it and its source code with no chance of having that taken away from you. I doubt Unity is going to disappear any time soon, but they are doing a pretty good job of demonstrating the benefits of free software. [0] obviously the MIT license does technically come with some conditions
