How is this the future of finance?
This is such a waste of energy on an unprecedented scale for a 'coin' with no legitimate usecase other than ransomware payments and crime.
- infotainment 3y agoOnly useful for ransomware and crime? You forgot the most important use-case of all: pump and dump scams!
- superkuh 3y agoMy most important use case is paying my monthly online services bills (like VPSes, domain leasing, etc). But I guess we're all touching different parts of the elephant.

- vidarh 3y agoI don't do many bitcoin payments, but I can safely say that none of them have been for ransomware or crime. Not so sure I buy the "future of finance" part, but this framing is equally fanciful.
- ThalesX 3y agoI pay my VPN with Crypto and I love that I have the possibility to do this.
