Ultimately protectionism has many negative externalities. At best you are amortizing the pain of your economy becoming uncompetitive, at worst you are permanently kneecapping your future competitiveness.
- gumballindie 3y agoYeah but it also means you are not feeding your people chickenfeed. And since people with money will always seek real food, fakes being for the workers, it will keep their farming industry healthy running.
