I think further nuance needs to be added here. There is a difference between pictures of dead children that are shared as proof of atrocities, and pictures that are shared to garner sympathy
I doubt many would doubt a school shooting did kill children, maybe some would but not the majority. In this case I can see how sharing the pictures of dead children could produce manipulative outputs (regardless of intent), especially since few to no people doubt their deaths
Whereas when it comes to wars overseas, and one side is downplaying or downright denying the death of children, then here I think it's vital to examine the pictures
