Why we're going with EV's over hybrids is beyond me. Build up the battery and charging stations on hybrids to the point they are really just EV's with a backup. It's more than sticker for me. I'd be afraid of going to my in-laws and running out of juice half way there, only to be stranded. ICE's make me feel safe, that's what it boils down to. Knowing that the grid can't support wide-spread EV adoption isn't a small thing. Rolling brown-outs don't make me think electric wins the day.
