Not who you replied to, but for the first 15 years of my life, if I was killed in a war by any nation, it was considered a war crime, a human rights violation. The day I turned 15*, in the estimate of the United States, the leader of the free world, if I was killed by a drone, I was an enemy solider and a legitimate target, regardless of what I did with my life (ignoring my citizenship for a moment). This level of value will continue until I turn 50 or so, at which point it will once again be considered a war crime to kill me. As somebody who has never fired a weapon or built a bomb, the reality that virtually every government in the world, even those from the Western world that are seen as human rights advocates, would look at my corpse and say "enemy combatant" to avoid taking responsibility for killing civilians - it's just one of many strange realities of the modern world.
